 Want the shiniest brass possible?
Damn this hobby is expensive...Just when I think Im getting close to having evreything I "need", I come accross something awesome. Im considering dropping coin on this.... Its not corn cob, walnut, rice or even ultrasonic. Stainless steel media. It cleans EVERY part of the brass, inside and out. Primer pocket. It even polishes out small scratches etc. Another benefit? The media never has to be replaced. Before: After: http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/It will not work in a conventional tumbler. It has to be a "wet" tumbler. But the results are amazing. The Tumbler sold on this site, Thumlers Tumbler Model B, can be found cheaper through hobby sources. It was originaly designed to polish rocks.

I just don't think I really need my brass that shiny. But that's bad a** though.

Any thoughts that it might wear your brass out faster?

Re: Want the shiniest brass possible?
From what I have read, It will not. It does not remove any material, just polishes it. It is over kill. But I like shiny things....

I bet the first time you have to wait for your brass to dry so you can load it you'll wish you passed on it.

Re: Want the shiniest brass possible?
Until I see how gloriously shiney it is.
You can either tumble in rice afterwards or even blow dry if you cant wait for it to dry. Honestly the main reason Im considering it is for .223. Those primers can be a b**** to get in if you dont clean the pockets just right. Also build up inside can be nasty on them too. I already have to tumble them after to get the lube off. So if I tumbled in stainless after sizing and depriming, I would be saving a step (cleaning primer pocket) and any manual steps saved in bulk .223 reloading is worth it IMO.

how big of a reloading nerd do you have to be to order this? http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/stm-shirt.htmlhey guys, i think we should take bets on how long before bentley buys the $700 deluxe kit. I got $20 saying it will be before memorial day.

Re: Want the shiniest brass possible?
yeah, but think how much brass you could tumble in the big one.
