Its growing on me.... :bj:

I think I would still rather have a Saiga. They need hi cap mags. But I really like the 3" chamber.

I don't like that the lower is one piece and plastic. The top rail is "slightly oversized" Sounds like a pain in the a**. They also made mention that it probably wont like light shot loads. It looks cool though. I wonder how long the ATF is going to let this thing be imported.

The charging handle needs to be moved to the standard AR-15 location, and a standard-size picatinny is needed. If they do that, I'll have to get one! I love the idea of a shotgun that is the same feel as my primary rifle. Muscle memory from shooting my AR should help me shoot it, and vice versa.

I missed the part about the oversized rail, that does suck. Im not afraid of the plastic idea, but I would have to hold it first to see if its cheap feeling or not. I bet that f***er kicks like a mule with the 3 inchers.

too fuckin big. way too fuckin big. looks like a cartoon gun.

and the 5 round capacity is major fail. you gotta have at least 10 to justify it over a simple semi auto traditional shotgun.

Too big? Its still smaller than a Saiga. Its dimensions are nearly identical to an M16A2.

I completely agree on the capacity. I wouldnt drop $700 on one unless it had 10 round mags or even a 20rd drum.

Saigas dont either. They need to be adjusted for light loads.

it doesn't look like the same as the m16. if you look at the first few seconds of the first video, there is an AR laying on the table and he opens the 1919 box and it looks bigger.

i think its patterned after the m16, but the receiver alone would have to be a lot bigger, not to mention the barrel, piston system and that stock just looks like a giant black c*** compared the m16's normal sized c***.

Still more rounds and faster reloading than most shotguns.

I got to handle this gun sunday night while we we building my upper. Holy balls. the reciever is taller, but still very pointable and controllable, and it felt almost second nature like any m16a2. The saiga is still bigger, yes mag capacity sucks a**, but you average pump gun(unless you are Mason) holds 5. Drum mags are being developed as we speak. They come with a set of chokes, for the discerning trap shooter :bowrofl: and the gas system is just as adjustable as a saiga. The larger rail is gay, but I would think if you wanted to toss a red dot on it, you could find a mount. I am seriously thinking about it, so much so that I posted in The TZ to support my FFL, hell after holding this, I forgot about that KSG.

as for the plastic, did ya'll forget that almost all of us own plastic guns? :haay: it felt plenty strong, just don't leave it on your stove

I wont even think about it until they put a regular rail on it.

Honestly Dustin, I could give a s*** less about a rail unless I am taking it out turkey hunting, and the carry handle peep sight is just as fast as a red dot, and I know I could get a mount for it. It's a shotgun to me before it's a AR, and I consider myself a shotgunner more than anything else

Well if it's just a shotgun then what's the point? There's already a million auto shotguns out there with great ergonomics and proven reliability. If it doesn't fit into that catagory it's just a gimmick. NEXT!

What's the point of owning any gun then? 19 in barrel with A2 sights tells me I could feasabily use it in home defense, turkey, or slug hunting for deer if the need/want arose, 5 round mag tells me I got standard capacity which is fine unless I am just screwing around, and If I am screwing around, it's sure to be as quick as reloading any pump or break gun. 6.5 lbs makes it lighter than most semi autos in the market unless you got the cash for a Benelli. This gun is every bit as new to us as the KSG so I can't speak to the reliability of it, but it's from mother Russia, ETA: Turkey. Im a jackass so That's a cool point for it. I have heard that they are working on drum mags for it, and once they do, that will open it up to the three gun market. I see no comprimises for me as far as utility and versatility.
I have practical uses in mind for this shotgun, just like my AR that is half built. all my guns have some purpose or another. not one gun in my cabinet has ever been just for fun, and I intend to keep it that way. If this thing is a bust, then I won't buy one. Just like the KSG, it is gimmicky, but I can see more practicality with this platform

Its from Turkey.

I would buy one of these before a KSG everyday of the week and twice on sunday. It may only have a 5 round mag, but you cant do mag swaps on a pump or any traditional auto loader. Its apples and oranges.

10 rounds mags are out, but VERY expensive. FPS russia uses one is one of his most recent videos. A bunch of companies that specialize in Saiga accessories are making ones for this gun. It has a bright future as soon as someone makes and AFFORDABLE hi-cap mag. Until then Saiga 12 is king!

Wonder if you could paint it orange or something and put on a goofy costume and walk down the street with it and not get stopped. Maybe big guns are the key... " I'm heading to some kids' parties today officer, I'm just on my lunch break '
http://compare.ebay.com/like/400224306944?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar
maybe not that drastic but goofy. Just a thought for those on the edge of going postal :]
