Post Desert Eagle? Why?
I've been wanting a Desert Eagle this time around, I dunno why the f*** I do .50 AE is expensive as s***, .44 Magnum is also expensive. When you hit the slide release the metal smashes with a vicious "CLACK" , and when someone shoots this hunk of steel it spits out flames like a dragon. I want a Desert Eagle, all very "appealing factors" but I don't think its worth it but a part of me says "GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT". Yes Smith & Wesson is reproducing the 586 but that's 6 rounds of .357 vs 9+1 rounds of .357, or 8+1 rounds of .44, or 7+1 rounds of .50 A.E.

Just get it. If you don't like it, sell it.

I was talked out of it, its just got this style to it, but maybe I'm thinking of all the wrong things, I'm going for accuracy and range when it comes to shooting.

Those fancy recoil reducing synthetic stocks sure look neat, but there is something more satisfying about crushing skulls with a well placed buttstroke from a walnut stock. It shows how much you care about your work

They look awesome I just don't know if it's THAT worth having. besides i hate the picatinni rail system they put on the Mark XIX now. I had the chance of handling a Mark VIII IMI Desert Eagle in .50 A.E a few years ago. It was smooth and hunky, I felt armed. It was 900 dollars

I like the rail, easy to put a scope on it for hunting. My dad wants it for hog protection(his 96 fatboy custom worth about 35k)

for the money, there are a lot of other guns i'd rather have that I wouldn't end up selling later.

My buddy has one in .50AE. It was really cool for the first couple times out. After that, it loses its novelty. And even if you reload, ammo is expensive. Not worth the scratch IMO.

If you want an auto loader in a magnum cartridge, you might also consider a Coonan, which is a 1911 style pistol. It's chambered in .357, and I don't think it's quite as enormous as Desert Eagles are. They're not really any cheaper though.

I'm a geek for revolvers. I find it harder to pick a semi auto, right now I got my heart set on a .357 magnum and a .38 Special for carry (Either a 442, an LCR, a Taurus M85, or I'll poke around a gun show and find a 3rd generation Colt Detective Special.

if its the larger caliber you're looking for for carry, the deagle is probably your worst choice, based on size and weight alone.

if you're just looking for a big powerful automatic, then the deagle is probably a decent choice, though i'd probably go for .44 magnum instead of .50DAE
