I needed a pistol I didn't mind loaning out to a family member so I traded my Remington 597 for this.

Yeah it was kind of hard. I was wanting more for it than it was worth because I didn't really want to get rid of it.

Bud's has it for $342. I see them about $250-300 around here, obviously YMMV.

Internet has them around $350ish. I've never seen one for sale in this town.

Those fancy recoil reducing synthetic stocks sure look neat, but there is something more satisfying about crushing skulls with a well placed buttstroke from a walnut stock. It shows how much you care about your work

Yes, but I'd like another full size. Anyway I figure I can't trade up to a better gun in within the same category of guns. You have to find somebody needing what you have but actually having something valuable that he's willing to trade. That's how I traded a $170 .22 rifle for this pistol. Hopefully I can trade this for a more valuable full size pistol, and then see what I'm in the mood for from there, but always getting something I can use, and something more valuable. Hopefully before I'm finished I'll have ended up with a Lamborghini or a helicopter. Very complex techniques of commerce at work here.
