 Re: springfield xd-s
eh, I like j frame revolvers better. The big benefit of pistols is capacity. When you get small like that, that disappears. IMO anyway.

 Re: springfield xd-s
I would expect a full size single stack later on to feed the needs of USPSA shooters

Dude. I'm jacked about this one. Finally an ultra compact from a reliable manufacterer. I would be willing to bet the follow up with a 9mm and .40. I found my BUG.

 Re: springfield xd-s
I should have been more specific. Ultra compact single stack. And they don't have one in .45. Besides, Glocks are for teh gehys.

 Re: springfield xd-s
36 I know some people don't like Glocks. Honestly, I like mine just fine, but like revolvers better. I'll take a .357 over a 9, a .41 over a .40 or 10mm and even a .45 colt over a .45 acp. Except for that travesty that they like to call the "judge".

 Re: springfield xd-s
Why did they take every single f***ing picture with the slide locked back. Yeah and bently the Glock 36 is a single stack.

 Re: springfield xd-s
I didn't like how the .36 felt, I felt a lot of glocks and sorry they just don't feel right to me , the M&Ps feel smoother in my opinion :3

 Re: springfield xd-s
Honestly I don't think I ever held one. I have to think they are interesting first. Then I'll go seek one out. Most pistols don't make that cut.
Don't get me wrong, they are to guns what the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are to autos. But once you have one, for me anyway, I don't see much of a point going out and getting more Toyota Camrys.

 Re: springfield xd-s
That 36 actually looks pretty cool! I honestly had no idea. I never paid much attention to Glocks. I figured they were all the same. Some day I might shoot a Glock enough to like it.

 Re: springfield xd-s
G36 is a single stack and is slimer than the standard glock frames. I held one and it felt wrong to me, but it wouldn't be a bad pocket .45 to be honest. You only get 6+1 but a .45 will make someone back the f*** off any day. I say go for it if you want a good .45 CCW that isn't to thick or too heavy. Personally I'd love a .357 magnum snub.

 Re: springfield xd-s
I think it'll be a great little pistol for the user that has the need for it. More importantly, this just goes to show that SA listens to their customers. So far, since I picked up my first XDm they've brought to market everything that their customers have demanded. A lot of guys have been clamoring for a single stack XD for a long time. Now we just have to see if this little pistol will satisfy those guys or if SA will end up discontinuing them.
Me personally I don't have a need for this. I have no problem whatsoever concealing my fullsize XDm or my 3.8 Compact. Besides, I like the fact that I have 10rds of .45 on my hip with my compact locked, cocked, and ready to rock.
Things are getting more dicey out there every day. The more options the shooter has at his/her disposal the better. I'll be willing to bet this little piece will be a winner for Springfield.

 Re: springfield xd-s
As most of you guys know I am a XD man. I carry a 40 sub compact daily without a problem.
You also know I dislike glock. That being said I took a couple used glocks out of the display case last week and took them for a test run [we cant sell them, noone buys glock around here, and I wanted to see why]. One was a 36 the other a 17. The 17 was a waste of time for me. The 36 really surprised me. 7 yards, full mag, silver dollar size group. If I was forced to buy a glock, it would be the 36.

 Re: springfield xd-s
I would love to add a 36 to my collection and make it my daily carry. I do love my XDm 9mm 3.8 compact though, it shoots incredibly well..
