Angel was my oldest son. He was 17 when he was gunned down behind a home in our neighborhood. His killer had followed him outside after a fight that started inside. Angel had no chance to escape the murderous power of the high capacity clip that killed him. As he ran out of the house, he tripped on his pants and lost his balance. He fell to the ground and dropped the money in his hands in order to put himself into a defensive position. As he begged for his life, his murderer fired 2 shots, killing him instantly. The hollow point killer bullets tore through his body and he had no chance to survive.
While I don't understand what he was doing inside that stranger's house, I believe that if guns were illegal, Angel would be alive today. In January he would have been 24 years old. His daughter and son never got a chance to know their father. I cry every day remembering my son.
I support this campaign to end gun violence if it will save young men like my son from being murdered for just being in a house that he shouldn't have. Nobody deserves to die for that.

It is sad that this young man lost his life. However, what is even sadder is the fact that it could have been prevented. By preventing law-abiding citizens from owning guns, we only embolden the criminals to commit acts as this. If this family had owned a gun, they could have prevented this death! Even the notion that a gun was in the house would have likely prevented the break-in. We should be more like Switzerland, who requires each household to have a gun. They have one of the lowest crime rates in the world, burglaries like this are never commitied.

Fight for responsible gun ownership and training, rather than to take away our Second Ammendment rights!

I fully expect the moderators to limit my First Ammendment rights as weel, by refusing this post.
