 P-08 Luger repro?
Does anyone make a reproduction of the old P-08 Luger? I've always thought it was an interesting-looking gun, and I'm surprised that I haven't been able to find anything about reroductions of it.

 Re: P-08 Luger repro?
The Walther P38 was the successor to the P08. The P08 was the original 9mm pistol, the sidearm of the Nazis. The Ruger .22 pistols borrowed their grip angle and general look from them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P08

The P38 was the successor, that was phased in at the beginning of WWII. Apparently, the P08 was used in both WWI and WWII. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_P38

 Re: P-08 Luger repro?
Here is a P-38..it is actually a better gun mechanically than the Luger in a lot of ways...but man, is the Luger a sweet looker!

It'd be such a sexy gun if it didn't have that puke-tastic european mag release...

 Re: P-08 Luger repro?
Still not the same as the original P08, though... I really think someone needs to get on that - It's one of the most distinctive firearms of all time!
