Post commercial spec vs mil spec magpul stock
So Juan A Be kindly gave me a magpul stock for my AR. The buffer tube is supposed to be commercial spec on my AR, and the magpul stock says commercial on it. I got it on there, but it's tighter than a prom date. when I put it in position 1, it's hard as hell to get it to go to position 4. Is that normal? should I just oil it or something? if it was mil spec it wouldn't fit at all right?

If it was a mil-spec stock it might fit but be very tight. But since it says commercial on it I'm just guessing it needs to break in.

f*** it man, run it! I have never had a magpul stock. you could take and put a little graphite lube on it or hit the inner well with some emery cloth also.

Those fancy recoil reducing synthetic stocks sure look neat, but there is something more satisfying about crushing skulls with a well placed buttstroke from a walnut stock. It shows how much you care about your work

ok a mil spec buffer tube is smaller then a commercial buffer tube so a commercial stock can fit on both but is lose on a mil spec where a mil spec stock will only fit on a mil spec buffer tube unless you forced it on but it would be really f***ing tight now I can tell you my ACS-L stock was tight at first on one of my ARs just put on some lube stick it in there then rock and roll with bro.

While commercial tubes are thicker I've always heard that mil-spec buffer tubes have stronger threads and are made of a better aluminum.

From everything I've read they are better then commercial I know my mil spec buffer tube feels better then the commercial buffer tube that was on the rifle first.
