Hello patriots, it’s Eric from “Gun Control = More Crime” again. “Guns Across America” is going to take place Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at “high noon.” This is going to be a peaceful picketing protest against ANY, AND ALL future gun legislation. This is our chance to reach out to our elected officials, and tell them NO NEW GUN LAWS! “Guns Across America” is being tailored to happen in every states capital city, at their capital building. The theory behind doing this event on a Saturday, is most conservative gun owners work a typical Monday through Friday job. I’m hoping for a massive response by doing this on a weekend.
Now for the tricky part. I’m going to need one volunteer, to organize each capital city. I’ll be taking care of Texas (Austin), and I have Oklahoma and Montana filled. A state task force studying gun access laws for people with mental illnesses has proposed authorizing police to seize firearms from individuals deemed a credible threat to themselves or others.
Such seizures, the panel said Wednesday, would take place after law enforcement “substantiated” reports from mental health providers, social workers and other professionals.
Forget for a moment that we would have politicians dictating what is and what is not a “credible threat”. Maryland residents must register all firearms with the State. Which means that when the local government is, they know exactly where to come to round up all the legal firearms. Not the ones floating around with serial numbers removed, or stuffed inside some Roca jacket. No, just the ones belonging to law abiding gun owners.
This already happened in California. More than once. In fact, more than twice.
With the prospect of gun registration coming to a federal law near you, it’s time to start making some hard decisions.
