A typical person from Wyoming

Wyoming has become the 4th state to allow concealed carry without a permit. I wrote last week about Colorado, South Carolina and New Hampshire pushing Constitutional Carry through their respective legislatures. At the time, I was unaware of three other states involved in the same process. According to this Wyoming Newspaper, Minnesota, Montana and Utah also have legislation on the table. And Idaho and Kentucky are in the early stages as well.

“We have heard from both sides on this, this bill has attracted a lot of attention, but as written, I thought it was an appropriate bill for Wyoming, and an appropriate law for Wyoming.”
~Governor Mead after signing the bill into law

This is great news for everyone, even those who don’t own guns or carry them. While there will always be gun crime that needs to be addressed, allowing citizens to protect themselves without the “tax” of a state issued permit gives violent criminals pause to wonder if their next victim might be packing one of these.

I will try to stay up to date with these bills as progress is made. Hopefully (though not likely due to our newly elected democratic governor) Colorado will be next.

Thanks to HiPoint45 for originally posting this story over at HPFF. Much love bitches.

Ok, maybe not the last website you’ll ever need, but pretty damn close. This Nerd has compiled a huge number of gun manuals in PDF form and distributed them to you for free. “Extensive” doesn’t quite sum it up, more like “obsessive”. If you have a gun that is not on this list, you are a dork for having such an obscure weapon and probably should reevaluate your current life choices.

He also has other cool shit like Army Field Manuals and tons of other encyclopedic pieces of trivia that you can employ to abuse mentally deficient mall ninjas.

Happy Hunting…….nerds!

El Bombardero —  February 27, 2011 — 1 Comment

It may not seem like a milestone to David, Charlie, Antoine Dodson or Ted Williams, but our YouTube videos have just surpassed this guy for total views of all our videos. 10,000 BABY! Yes!

We have a lot of people to thank. First, Juan-a-Be The Luchador, you have been a rock for us. You always know how to inspire us to work hard even when we don’t feel like it.

Second, Josh Caza, for making all this possible.

Third, I want to thank the internet, you are the shit!

Ok, so its not really a big milestone, but it’s good to see that we are getting out there. I hope to double this within a month, and from there we can take over the world with our evil genius.

To whoever is out there watching our shit, thanks. Hope you have as much fun as we do.

Colorado is not the only state currently considering Constitutional Carry. South Carolina and New Hampshire both have bills fighting their way through the state legislatures right now. Both bills are progressing steadily. If all three of these states pass these bills, the number of Constitutional Carry states will double from 3 to 6. Currently Vermont does not have a conceal carry permit, and Alaska and Arizona both permit conceal carry without a permit, though you can still get a permit if you want to.

The primary idea behind Constitutional Carry is that if you are legally able to buy and own a gun, you should be able to carry that weapon without having to jump through more bureaucratic hoops. And there are those out there who believe that the Second Ammendment is the only license they need to carry a gun.

This law is of course currently controversial because of the recent shooting of Arizona Representative Gifffords. Mr. Loughner was carrying his Glock 19 pistol legally concealed without a permit that day. This frustrates a lot of people, but the truth is, even if there was a law against it, he would have done it anyway. And no one would have stopped him.

The reality is that as much damage as guns can cause, you can’t actually hurt anyone simply by carrying one. You have to actually use it for it to be dangerous. And if you have a gun legally, you have already shown yourself to be trustworthy up to a point. An additional hurdle is effective at keeping some people from carrying guns, but not the type of people you should be worried about. The people you should be worried about are the ones that don’t care if it’s legal or not, the ones who carry a gun and don’t give a fuck. Those are the people who should be feared. And this is another reason that we carry guns, because there are people out there who refuse to follow the rules. But the rules imposed on us as law abiding citizens restrict our ability protect ourselves from those who couldn’t give a shit about the law. Constitutional Carry does not magically create murderous criminals, it does away with barriers that impede only law abiding citizens.

House Bill 1205, sponsored by Rep. Chris Holbert, R-Parker, sailed through the House Judiciary Committee on an 8-3 vote, despite opposition from gun-control groups.

Fucking awesome!!

FYI: The KDVR report states that this bill would “allow gun owners to bypass background checks,” NOT TRUE! Background checks are still necessary to purchase weapons.

Denver, CO – On Thursday, February 24 at 1:30pm (MST) Colorado’s House Judiciary Committee will decide the fate of HB-1205. The bill would make concealed handgun permits optional, and allow law abiding citizens to carry concealed without a permit. This bill is fucking awesome in our eyes!

The bill would not eliminate the permit process, simply make it optional. The bill would not change any existing laws either, like I said before you anti-gun fucktard, it simply gives law abiding citizens the option to obtain a concealed carry permit or not.
