Raul Rodriguez inserts himself into a bad situation on purpose, armed.
I was disappointed, I was promised multiple gunshots. Judging by the accents though, I can’t say he didn’t do civilized society a favor.

I’m kinda disappointed too. Technically there are multiple gunshots, but we miss out on context and follow through. Ok, they were playing there music loud. In what setting? What were the circumstances. Why did he feel the need to confront them about it?
Secondly, you can’t see shit. A couple of blurry guys there yelling stuff.
Third, what happened after that last shot was fired?
Is this even real, or is it some kind of lame attempt at story telling?

Now I understand more.
I think they are unfairly painting him as “grabbing his gun to make a noise complaint”. They need to compare it to other times. Does he, as I do, carry when I go to fill up with gas? Walk his dog? Go to dinner? Change oil? Or did he just grab the gun to make the noise complaint?
Well regardless of how he ended up being armed in that situation, he clearly felt it was his duty to pull his gun over loud noise, stay in a bad situation, and ultimately kill someone…..over loud noise.
Did we watch the same video? He didn’t pull his gun over loud noise, he pulled it because the guy that he killed was advancing on him. The guy raised his hands and backed up, but it wasn’t because of noise.

at about 1:20 to 1:30 the guy is advancing on him. That’s where he pulls. Not because of loud noise.
I’m not defending the act of going down and confronting them about their noise. It’s not that important.
I think that ultimately he was guilty because he started a confrontation. If you start the confrontation, you don’t have a legal defense to stand your ground laws.
Still, there is a lot of social commentary that can go on here….
Yeah it’s another case of someone who knows they have the ability to end a life confronting people at night and not in a way normal people would. Also if it was that big of a problem he should have just called the police because of a noise violation and let them, handle it. Not be Johnny cowboy and go down there to make a scene being armed. Common sense was not found in this story…
Now, I mostly agree with what you are saying, apparently he did call the police several times, and they did not handle it.
I don’t agree with what he did, and really have no idea if it was really a case of them being too noisy, or if it was just a case of him having a bug up his ass about people following the “rules”. It seems like this was a perfect storm of selfish behavior gone wrong.
exactly right
