From the company that brought you the weapon of choice for fictional drug lords in the inner city since the 80′s: Masterpiece Arms has introduced a new version of it’s 9mm pistol in a new and pretty fucking slick carbine. Boasting plenty of Picatinny rail space, including on top of the receiver where it is needed most, a very light weight cache of accessories and a 36 round magazine, this is going to be a lot of fun. Here it is in action. Looks like the trigger is pretty easy to pull. Sexy. I’ve been wanting a Mac11 since I saw young Piru’s doing drive by’s with it in the hood back in ’87. This is a great addition to the carbine market. I’m pretty excited about it, especially the super killer high capacity assault clips....

Taurus Debuts New Pistol Caliber Carbine

Apparently the 2011 SHOT SHOW isn’t just about recent gun politics.  Some new guns are making a bit of a splash.  This blog is giving some love to Taurus’ new carbine, the CT G2, available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45ACP.  There aren’t a lot of details available aside from what is mentioned in the link above: It is built from polymer lower (with build in magwell handguard) and aluminum lower. It has a 16″ barrel and is chambered in 9mm (34+1 capacity), .40 S&W (15+1 capacity) and .45 ACP (10+1). I really liked the feel of it. I can’t remember the pricing, it was somewhere around $700.
